But I miss my advanced member status. And my like tally. Normally I don't care about such things. But I tend to be a light poster, and this game has probably been the only one I have been an active forum comunity person on. I mean I barely have 14 post on the MWO forums. But here... I care lol.
Is there anyway those old things will transfer over? I know it is incrediably minor in the grand scheme of things, but *sniffle*

So the thing is that BattleTech has always been the inspiration for MWT, but we also wanted to bring our own interpretation and voice to the franchise. We do have our own spin on how you're going to do 'Mech battle but keep in mind our goal isn't to alienate the fans of BattleTech and MechWarrior. We want MWT to feel familiar and for experienced 'Mech fans to instantly grok what's going on.
And c'mon, if you want a true BattleTech representation you have MegaMek. It's a 10+ year endeavor, a real labor of love by super dedicated fans. It's fantastic and we want to do something a little different than what's already available.
Really, the idea of disrespecting the dedicated fans and the franchise's history is absolutely abhorrent. We're making a game we, as long time BattleTech and MechWarrior fans, want to play and enjoy. When we deviate from expected rule sets it's because we're trying to make the game a better experience for both old hardcore fans and the new fan base. We have a game we want to share with everyone because we think it is really good.
If you're concerned about question like: Is heat still an integral part of the tactical decisions a player'll be making? Of course. Is terrain still tactically relevant? Of course. Is the Atlas still a bad-ass? Of course! This is still a game grounded in the lore and canon of the franchise that we all love. This is still a game about giant robots beating the Hell out of each other.

2. Will we see something more than just mechs? vehicles and infantry?
3. Will MWT eventually appear also on "steam" among other free to play games?

With so much rich Battletech history, I don't want to send my "Red Guys" to attack the "Green Guys".
I'd like to make an 11th Legion of Vega lance, a 3rd Davion Guards lance, a 4th McCarron's Armored Cavalry lance, etc.

Okay, here's the deal: we're making a game that for all intents and purposes is a live product. We don't stop developing when we "ship," or, more appropriately, go open beta. Once we're open beta a strong community involvement is going to result in community wants being met to the best of our ability. We'll be taking our cues from how we see people play the game, what makes people quit, what complaints we hear the most and how often a feature is
This means when I answer "no, not right now" to question 1 through 3 when I really mean is: how badly d'you guys want melee or vehicle and infantry? Is it just a small crazy subsection of the MST community or is it an overwhelming critical mass of people incessantly clamoring for these features?
Also, looking at delivering MWT through Steam realize we don't actually have a client download, we're totally browser-based. I'm wondering how'd you'd see that work out?

i am really really really glad that MWT is settled at 3025, so we can focus on the very exciting setting of the succession wars, the more "feudal" timeline in BattleTech... so is it likely to expect that we will have quite some time to pass, before "certain things" going to happen?

Spiral Knights and Iron Grip: Marauders are both browser based f2p games and can be played also thru steam;

No idea how much different MWT is from those two but if that is possible for mentioned games so why MWT would not be able to pull it off?

It's an important facet of the game. Particularly in the 3025 era. That said, with the way you guys have changed phases and changed to simultaneous movement...well, I'm not sure it's nearly as valuable. I'll wait to play some of the beta before being able to personally judge its value.

Also, will there be a spectator mode?
Lastly, when Mechs explode, will they damage other Mechs that happen to be nearby?

- Skins or the look/color of a mech? (we've seen evidence for this)
- Weapons? (we've seen answers to support this)
- Armor? Can you add or remove armor?
- Heat Sinks? Can you add or remove heat sinks over the base 10.
- Engine? Jump Jets?

I see myself creating different units with their own names and tactis (color schemes).
So a second question would be, can we record history for the different lances, build some lore.

Since turns are simultaneous, what happens if you both blow each other up on the same turn.
A bit more unlikely, but also possible. What happens if a mech runs out of ammo, or loses all it's weapons? Without melee what can they do?

I'm one of the poeple that should be going on about this.
BUT I DON'T CARE!!
This site looks sexy and I really can't wait to dive right in. And really hope that I can get beta! Being in NZ made me miss my chance but keeping good thoughts going for MWT!
