Moving into the medium weight class, the Trebuchet offers the first real missle fire-support 'Mech. Boasting two LRM 15s, with good speed, the 'Mech can move rapidly from covered position to covered position, while laying down heavy suppression fire. Its only Achilles Heel is its low ammo load; a triple threat of Medium Lasers helps alleviate that issue. More.

"Moving into the medium weight class, the Trebuchet offers the first reall missle fire-support 'Mech"

Fix your spelling :P

I like the overall design of the mech, but those LRM:s look really out of place and pathetically small.

As DechanFraser pointed out, LRMs looks kind of small, but ignoring that little bit, the design looks good, very nice

I would guess that they took it down to fix the spelling mistakes in the bio.

Yea, not so easy to fix the spelling when it's an image.

And were back! Hmmm, this is an interesting design. Seems to take a step in a different direction from the other MWT designs so far with the arm pods, but I like it still. That said, I will take a catty over a trech bucket any day.

Like the design, though the mech is one I always WANTED to like, but never could. I like the idea: it's like a mini catapult, sans JJS.
But the lack of any real ability to deal with heat is a problem. Should I get one when the game drops, I think the first thing I would do is drop a laser and add a heat sink.
Still doesn't address the ammo issue, but that only lasts so long, and I would rather have the ability to run and gun once it's out, as opposed to being stingy with the laser fire, or be relegated to walking.

The trenchbucket. For when you need fire support on a medium mech.

I have to say, I am not impressed.

On its own, it is an ok mech (except for below), but as a Trebuchet, it is un-recognizable for me.
I saw the Jenner or the Atlas and I instantly knew this is a Jenner or an Atlas. I look at this one and go ´ok, and what mech is this supposed to be?´

The original is dominated by the huge LRM-15 in the right torso being mounted in a way it forms the outside of the torso.
This re-design shows a pathetic missile launcher there, sitting in a hole inside the torso.

The first thing that came to my mind seeing this was ´Wow, any AC-shell or missile hitting that hole and that mech is a goner.´ Hello? Shot-trap anyone?

Yes, I know, it´s a game and yes, mechs are anything _but_ realistic anyway, but this is such a blatant, in-your-face-stupid design, it realy puts me off.

Ah well, I guess I have to learn to live with it and who knows, perhaps the 3D turnaround will look awesome.

Yeah I agree, they really need to do something about the LRM:s. As they are now they mess up every mech which relies on missiles and they aren't recognisable as missile launchers at all. Boxed launchers with warheads peaking out are instantly recognisable and tells players that they are dealing with a long range threat, these small round things tell me nothing.

Slowly getting to know most of the 3025 Mechs and I like this desing. It looks like a long range unit, just something you don't care about with the rocket launcher hidden like that.

It's a bit hard to see the Vader-helmet in the bio picture. I think it is there, though, so I'm good.

Just saying, but since they havn't changed the LRM's yet, and this is getting to be much more late game, I don't think whining now is going to get anywhere. I think the round tubes are here to stay.
