I have to say, after playing my fair share of minecraft... I expected ALOT more from Scrolls. I know, I know, they haven't even hit Alpha yet, but it just looks silly. It is a trading card game through and through, but it doesn't look very appealing. I would much rather play MWT and give them my money.

Aw come now. I think, as with most F2P games, I am going to give it a shot. I enjoy deck building games such as Tanto Cuore and as such I think I will give Scolls at least a look. It seems like a mix of Heroes of Might and Magic + a collectible card game. You got some levels of strategy besides card combos (such as having to watch lanes). I think its a good combo but might not be the cup of tea for everyone.

my biggest problem with scrolls is they are doing the same release as minecraft, which is you can buy your way into the beta at a discount of the full game... Which means that there is an upfront cost, aka not F2P... And then the problem any trading card game faces if they involve micro transactions it will become F2P again... Free to Pay...

I'm worried because of the state of Minecraft Notch left it in mostly. Notch came up with a whole bunch of half assed ideas, programmed them, then left the game and now the new dev seems to be taking things in a different direction leaving the remaining fanbase with a useless nether and ender relms....
