I was actually hoping that there would be a "standard" cv, much like how tabletop miniatures games work. For fun games between friends, you could set the limit to whatever you wanted. For public "matchmaking" games there would be a specific point cap.
If stacs are relatively easily gained through play (5-10 games for a stac for instance) and the tactics cards are gotten through stacs, then I don't think that it's pay to win. You'll be able to get more if you pay, sure. Paying for stacs is a way to save time, for those of us who don't have 5 or 10 hours a day that we can devote to play. If, however, the tactics cards are premium only items, then it becomes pay to win. At this point we don't know enough about the business model, or how scrap is rewarded, to be able to say for sure. From what we know now, they are not pay to win.
I'm hoping for some sort of trade system at some point. With the gear, mechs etc being randomized, I'd like to be able to trade for things I need. I'm hoping for some sort of integrated tournament system and maybe tools for the community to run our own tourneys. I'm hoping for a balanced and fun game
